Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union
The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union is accepting applications for a sport administrator to oversee assigned junior high and high school sports. The sport administrator is responsible for all aspects of the assigned sport(s) regional and state-qualifying championships. Additional responsibilities include administrative tasks as assigned within the IGHSAU. This position reports directly to the Senior Associate Director or Executive Director. This is a full-time, 12-month position with benefits.
Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in education, management or related field or demonstrated work experience within an educational environment or activity organization. Must possess excellent writing, interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a variety of colleagues. Strong multi-tasker. Willingness to work nights and weekends on a flexible schedule.
Preferred qualifications: Prior experience working with school administrators, coaches and teams. Strong customer service skills.
