2017 State Swimming and Diving Spectator Information

Welcome to the Iowa Girls State Swimming and Diving Meet. We hope your experience at the state meet will be a good one. Below is some information that will help you as you prepare to visit Marshalltown. .

Directions to the Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA:  Driving directions to the Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA can be viewed by clicking the Google Map page. Simply enter your starting point on Google Maps to get turn by turn directions to the State Meet site.

State Swimming & Diving Tickets Now on Sale at GoFan:  Fans have the ability to purchase tickets in advance and online with GoFan Digital Huddle Tickets for both sessions of the meet.  Tickets are now on sale by clicking on the GoFan website.  By ordering ordering tickets online, your state swimming and diving tickets are delivered to your mobile device and validated onsite at the Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA. DO NOT VALIDATE OR REDEEM YOUR TICKETS PRIOR TO THE STATE MEET. State Diving tickets will be validated beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the north entrance of the Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA. Online tickets for the November 4th State Swimming Meet will be validated beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the YMCA/YWCA gymnasium entrance.  Fans may purchase up to eight tickets on their mobile device. Tickets for each session are $10, plus a $1.50 handling fee.

As in past meets, the gymnasium at the Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA will open at 9:00 a.m. for Saturday’s swim meet. Fans must purchase e-tickets to enter the gymnasium.  No tickets will be sold in the gym. Fans will get their online tickets verified and will receive wristbands once their e-ticket is verified at the entrance gate. Tickets into the State Swimming and Diving Meet are general admission.  Go-Fan has a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page  and support number that can be accessed by clicking here.  Please take the time to read this as many of the questions you may have about your e-tickers are answered here. If you wish to purchase tickets at the Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA,  they will go on sale at the north entrance of the Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA  at 11:00 a.m.

Parking: There is ample parking available in the YMCA/YWCA lots. Please note that the Marshalltown Railroad and railroad tracks are near the YMCA/YWCA facility. Do NOT park on or near these tracks or on the Marshallown Railroad property.

Wristbands:  Spectators MUST be wearing the wristband to gain entry into the natatorium. The wristband will allow entrance in and out of the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA. Anyone who leaves the building without a wristband will not be allowed back into the building unless another wristband is purchased. A reminder to spectators that smoking is prohibited anywhere on the Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA grounds. All contestants, managers and coaches must enter and exit the facility through the pass gate.

Spectators traveling in RV’s/Campers: The Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA will not allow camper/RV’s in the YMCA/YWCA lots until NOON, Friday, November 4.  Spectators traveling in RV’s/Campers are expected to park them in the YMCA/YWCA East Parking lot. NO GRILLS OR FIRES IN THE PARKING LOT.

Seating for the State Swimming and Diving is general admission with no reserved seating. REMINDER: THE SAVING OF SEATS IS PROHIBITED. SPECTATORS CAUGHT SAVING SEATS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE STATE MEET.

MERCHANDISE: Image Sport will be selling Official 2017 State Swimming merchandise throughout the meet. Programs will also be on sale at the merchandise area for $5.00.

STREAMING: Both the diving and swimming competitions will be live streamed. A link to the streaming site will be posted on the IGHSAU website. Please note, the Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA is providing this free service via the UStream website. In order to keep the site free to the public, the UStream site has advertisements on the stream. The IGHSAU and the Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA have no control nor endorse any of the content that might be aired during the web stream.

FILMING: There is no special place designated for teams or fans to videotape from.  Paying spectators are not restricted from videotaping as long as the video equipment is hand-held.
