CORALVILLE, Iowa — November 3, 2025 — Clear Creek-Amana advanced to the Class 4A state semifinals with a convincing straight-sets victory over Sergeant Bluff-Luton, 25–23, 25–9, 25–21, on Monday at Xtream Arena.
The Clippers, now 42-3, controlled the match from start to finish behind an efficient offense and a dominant defensive effort at the net. Clear Creek-Amana hit .250 as a team while holding Sergeant Bluff-Luton to a .157 hitting percentage.
Averie Lower led the Clippers with 17 kills on a .361 hitting percentage. Bailey Simpson added 10 kills and three blocks, while Julia Schlarbaum contributed six kills. Setter Emily Henderson directed the attack with 35 assists, and libero Kendall Ronnfeldt anchored the back row with 16 digs.
Clear Creek-Amana used a late surge to take the opening set 25–23, then overwhelmed the Warriors in the second set by hitting .435 and converting nine of 10 sideout opportunities. The Clippers closed out the match with a 25–21 win in the third, maintaining control throughout.
Sergeant Bluff-Luton, which ended its season at 19-13, was led by Leiana Eldridge and Bre VanDenTop with 11 kills each. Setter Bailey Ball finished with 28 assists, and libero Katilyn Hardie recorded 11 digs.
The Clippers advance to the Class 4A semifinals at Xtream Arena on Wednesday.
