Davenport Assumption powered its way into the Class 3A semifinals Tuesday with a dominant three-set sweep over Mid-Prairie in State Volleyball Tournament action in Coralville. The Knights won by scores of 25-19, 25-10, and 25-15 to improve to 25-7 on the season, while the Golden Hawks ended their year at 30-10.

Ellah Derrer led Assumption’s balanced attack with 16 kills and a .519 hitting percentage, while Erin Robbins added 10 kills on .412 efficiency. Carsyn Kelley dished out 33 assists and contributed defensively with eight digs and a block. The Knights hit .245 as a team and finished with eight total blocks.

Mid-Prairie struggled to find consistency at the net, hitting just -.041 overall. Jovi Evan led the Golden Hawks with seven kills, and Katelyn Harland added six. Avery Helmuth tallied 12 assists, while Georgia Evans added 14 digs.

Davenport Assumption will play Wednesday in the Class 3A semifinals at 2:25 p.m. on Court 2.
