CORALVILLE, Iowa — November 3, 2025 — North Scott moved into the Class 4A state semifinals with a four-set victory over Dallas Center-Grimes, 27-25, 17-25, 25-16, 25-23 on Monday at Xtream Arena.
The Lancers, now 25-10, used steady offensive production and balanced defense to secure the win, hitting .236 as a team while recording five total blocks.
McKenzie Moeller led North Scott with 27 kills on a .339 hitting percentage and added a block assist. Adalynn Johnson contributed 10 kills on .348 hitting, while setter Addison Allen guided the offense with 40 assists. Libero Ainsley Haedt anchored the defense with 13 digs and three service aces.
North Scott took control early, winning the opening set 25–16 behind an efficient attack and strong serving. Dallas Center-Grimes followed with a close 25–23 win in the second before the Lancers responded in the third, capitalizing on improved hitting to take the set 25–16.
The fourth set featured seven ties and multiple lead changes. North Scott pulled ahead late and sealed the win 27–25, sending the Lancers to the semifinals.
Dallas Center-Grimes, which finished its season at 26-12, was led by Avery Edgington with 13 kills and Madison Messerly with 13. Setter Gwen Farley posted 45 assists, and libero Anna Jackson added 17 digs.
North Scott advances to the Class 4A semifinals at Xtream Arena to face top-ranked Clear Creek-Amana Wednesday at noon.
