Elle Ruffridge joined the IGHSAU as an Account Manager in June 2026 after spending four years as a teacher and coach in the Spirit Lake Community School District. A graduate of Missouri State University, Ruffridge earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education while competing as a member of the Missouri State Lady Bears women’s basketball program.
A native of Pocahontas, Elle is one of the most accomplished players in Iowa girls’ basketball history. She was a two-time Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year and was named Iowa Miss Basketball in 2017 after leading her team to back-to-back state championships. She remains Iowa's all-time leader in career points, assists, and three-pointers made.
