Iowa girls high school soccer is held in the spring, with first practices starting March 17 and matches kicking off on March 31. There are three classes of soccer with the largest 40 schools competing in 3A, the next 48 schools participating in 2A and the remaining schools participating in 1A. The regional tournament dates are held as follows:
- Class 1A: May 19, May 21, May 27, May 29
- Class 2A: May 23, May 27, May 29
- Class 3A: May 23, May 27, May 29
The Iowa High School Girls Soccer Tournament will be held June 3, June 5, and June 7, 2025 at Iowa State University in Ames. The official tournament ball is the Spalding TF-5000.
