Iowa girls high school soccer is held in the spring, with first practices starting March 11 and matches kicking off on March 25. There are three classes of soccer with the largest 40 schools competing in 3A, the next 48 schools participating in 2A and the remaining schools participating in 1A. The regional tournament dates are held as follows:
- Class 1A: May 13, May 15, May 21, May 23
- Class 2A: May 17, May 21, May 23
- Class 3A: May 17, May 21, May 23
The Iowa High School Girls Soccer Tournament will be held May 28, May 30, and June 1, 2024 at Cownie Soccer Complex in Des Moines. The official tournament ball is the Spalding TF-5000.
